The selected candidate will foster Devereux's mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students.Position:We are seeking a People Operation Specialist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges. If this describes you, then look no further!Schedule:Monday- Friday 9am-5pmPrimary Responsibilities Include:* Develop and maintain effective systems and communication for correspondence, training, employee screenings, employee records, regulatory agencies, state and federal requirements, and corporate and center policies and procedures.* Discusses personnel needs with department supervisors to prepare and implement recruitment program, orientation, and ongoing training needs.* Determines optimal means of reaching candidates including advertisement, colleague search, college and university employer resource services, web-based recruitment, and passive searches.* Performs reference checks and arranges for background checks on applicants.* Communicates with applicants to notify them of employment consideration.* Manages workers compensation claims and maintains OSHA incident log.* Reports to Management of efficacy of recruitment efforts and on workplace issues affecting recruitment, training and retention.* Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Devereux mission and goals.* Assists with compensation and benefit related areas and maintains appropriate records.* Research, communicate and educate management in the areas of federal and state labor laws, workers compensation, and unemployment law, and Human Rights Commission.* Manages data system for employment functions and employee benefits.* Perform other duties as directed by Executive Management.#sponsoredQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:* High School or GED Required* Minimum of 2 years of HR experience and previous recruiting experience required* Competence in Windows computer environment* Well-developed organizational skillsDevereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
