Graceworks Lutheran Services is a not for profit organization serving over 2000 older adults and adults with disabilities. We are a leader in offering services and settings that inspire and support a sense of home when people experience challenging and changing circumstances related to agingand living with disabilities.We are seeking a full time Human Resources Training Specialist to work onsite at both the Bethany Village Campus in Centerville, Ohio, and at the Enhanced Living Office located in Springdale, Ohio. Position summary:Graceworks Lutheran Services serves older adults and adults with disabilities through four programs: Bethany Village, Graceworks Housing Services, Graceworks Enhanced Living and Bethany Village Home Healthcare. Graceworks has an opening for a Training Specialist. The specialist will deliver training primarily in our Springdale and Centerville offices but may deliver training at other venues near Graceworks locations. Graceworks will consider candidates available between 30 and 40 hours per week.Duties:
  • Coordinate and deliver on-line and live New Employee Orientation, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met
  • Coordinate and deliver on-line and live Annual Mandatory training, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met
  • Obtain certification and deliver CPR and 1st Aid training
  • Develop and deliver other training as needed. Examples include: leadership development or effective communication
  • Maintain electronic and paper records
  • Work with business leaders to determine training needs and regulatory requirements. Make changes and/or develop training to meet organization needs
  • As a member of the Human Resources team, may assist with other HR functions.
  • Incorporate Gracework's Faithful Caring culture within course design and delivery
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs that meet the training need utilizing a number of different methodologies. Prior experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
  • Solid decision making and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfort presenting in front of all audiences.
  • Strong organization skills
  • Customer service orientation, demonstrate patience with learners with varying degrees of computer literacy, and English speaking skills
  • Must have or obtain CPR / 1st aid trainer certification within 30 days.
