Examples of Duties
- Supervises, directs and evaluates Child Support Program staff; resolves employee problems and concerns, assigns work, reviews and updates position descriptions as necessary, and participates in other personnel actions such as hiring and discipline.
- Completes annual evaluations and collaboratively sets goals with Child Support Program staff.
- Coordinates training program for staff to ensure that professional development and program objectives are achieved. Ensures comprehensive program training of new and existing program staff.
- Plans, develops, and administers child support program to promote efficiency, compliance and generate the greatest return on dollars spent.
- Obtains and retains comprehensive and detailed knowledge of Federal, State and local laws, regulations and policies that pertain to child support. Maintains working knowledge of program reporting and contract requirements.
- Monitors legal actions pertaining to the child support program.
- Monitors and supports computer systems: PRISM, RVI, MNCIS, DHS-SIR.
- Completes supervisory case reviews to ensure team compliance with local, state, and federal rules/laws.
- Completes cooperative agreements with County Attorney's and Sheriff's Office.
- Receives and responds to complaints from clients and the public regarding child support issues.
- Manages a small child support caseload related to conflict of interest and complex cases.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with other county departments, outside agencies, and other social service agencies.
- Assists and monitors in developing agency budget.
- Coordinates services with other human services agencies to ensure cooperation and a collaborative service delivery system.
- Serves and participates on the agency management team.
- As part of the agency's management team, participate in the overall administration of agency programs, services, policies and procedures.
- May assist with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the County Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration, human services, or related field and four years of experience in office or administrative support; OR
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human services, or related field and two years of experience in office or administrative support; OR
- 6 years of child support experience preferred
- Driver's License valid in the State of Minnesota
Supplemental InformationThis position is regularly scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 p.m. The 2025 starting salary for this position is $59,093 annually depending on qualifications, with career advancement to $88,629.The selection process will include an online employment application and supplemental questionnaire.
