Summary: The Human Trafficking Advocate will be responsible for outreach, advocacy and education for victims of human trafficking throughout York County and South-Central Pennsylvania The Human Trafficking Advocate will also be responsible for managing assigned caseloads of clients, assessing clients' needs, developing, implementing, and reviewing service plans, and working with other community resources in meeting/achieving clients service needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent ACCESS York and the Victim Assistance Center, programs of YWCA York, as the Association's resource in human trafficking response, including knowledge regarding both state and federal law, referral options locally and nationwide, and the specific needs of various demographics vulnerable to trafficking.
- Provide on-call support, options and safety planning, as needed, to victims of human trafficking at local hospitals, prisons and outreach centers.
- Provide support for victims of human trafficking by assessing the needs of victims, accessing resources, determining referral options and providing non-directive counseling, as well as, assisting Victim Services staff in the coordination of services.
- Provide educational and prevention programming to the community. Identify and assess for potential victimization.
- As part of the Community Education team, participate in the planning and provision of community education events and educational programs throughout York County.
- Maintain current, thorough knowledge of issues pertaining to human trafficking, including their intersections with other forms of oppression and the need for trauma-informed, victim-centered advocacy.
- Develop and implement collaborative response efforts to human trafficking among participating local organizations and the region.
- Maintain statistical information, reports and forms necessary for the operation of ACCESS York and Victim Assistance Center, programs of YWCA York, human trafficking response programs and collaborative efforts.
- Assist as needed with accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Community Education Department via other duties as assigned or required.
- Reliable transportation within York County and South-Central Pennsylvania will be regularly needed, as will flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or another relevant field preferred. A minimum of two years of work experience in the field of human services or another relevant field. Experience working with victims of human trafficking strongly preferred.Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong public speaking skills, clear, confident and dynamic presentation style, thorough knowledge of subject matter, ability to engage a diverse range of audiences and groups.
- Completion of Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape's (PCAR) and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency's (PCCD) required Sexual Assault Counselor Training and Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence's (PCADV) Counselor Advocate training within one year of employment.
- Strong writing skills, clear, direct writing style, thorough knowledge of subject matter, mastery of grammar, spelling and tone in written communication.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Exhibit willingness to take initiative and ownership of performance outcomes. Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within flexible time frames.
- Knowledgeable and sensitive to sexual assault issues.
- Must be available for occasional events outside of normal business hours as needed
- Takes other active and visible roles in York community and perhaps with other non-profits to show YWCA York's commitment to the community in diverse ways
