Washington National Primate Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Husbandry Manager to join their team.
The primary purpose of this Husbandry Manager (Manager of Program Operations, E S 8) position, is to provide the appropriate environment to support outstanding biomedical research directed towards significant human health issues and nonhuman primate health and biology. The Washington National Primate Research Center has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Husbandry Manager (Manager of Program Operations) at our Seattle site. This position is responsible for ensuring the husbandry care and welfare of the animals in the Seattle colony is completed in compliance with federal/state regulations and WaNPRC policies, by overseeing the Animal Facility Program Supervisors and working closely with the Behavior Management and Veterinary Services staff. In addition to the oversight of the husbandry staff, this position works closely with the Facilities staff to maintain the Seattle Colony's facilities, equipment and caging. The Husbandry Manager is also responsible for the review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertinent to the Seattle Colony as well as ensuring that the WaNPRC Seattle facilities maintain consistent practices. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
