As a key member of our applications team, you will work closely with our sales department, customers, and internal teams to provide technical expertise, support, and innovative solutions during the pre-sales and quotation phases. You will play an essential role in solving complex technical challenges, identifying product improvements, and ensuring the smooth progression of the sales process.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical evaluation stage of the sales process, providing expert solutions and recommendations to support the Applied Sales Managers.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless sales journey.
  • Educate and train distributors on HVAC products, enhancing their understanding and ability to sell effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product team and Sales team to ensure alignment and drive business growth.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to the Technical Services Department, resolving technical issues during the applications process.
  • Create and maintain applications bulletins, supplements to installation manuals, and service bulletins for internal and customer reference.
  • Work with leadership through video conferences and meetings to drive product and technical improvements.
  • Assist in the development of new products, product modifications, and testing of existing products to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (HVAC, Engineering, or related field is a plus).
  • 5+ years of field-based HVAC experience, including installation, service, controls, customer interactions, and quoting.
  • Experience with VRF systems, lab testing, or related product testing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC applications, system design, and utilization techniques.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Solid knowledge of construction processes, HVAC systems, and associated products.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting tools like ADP.
