Position Overview: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. The role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, inspect, and test new HVAC systems in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and local building codes. Perform regular maintenance and servicing of HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and replacing parts as needed to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components. Respond to emergency service calls and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including detailed reports on diagnostics, repairs, and parts used. Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of issues, solutions, and preventative maintenance tips. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on commercial systems. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC technical training program is preferred. Certifications: Valid EPA certification; other relevant certifications (e.g., NATE, HVAC Excellence) are a plus. Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Licensing: Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts and emergency response. Work Environment: The position involves working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, often in tight or elevated spaces. May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Requires the use of power tools and specialized HVAC equipment.
