Lead the Field Team as a HVAC Field Supervisor at Paragon Mechanical!Job Title: HVAC Field SupervisorCompany Name: Paragon MechanicalSalary: $100,000-$140,000 per year based on experienceFull Job DescriptionParagon Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Supervisor to oversee and manage our team of HVAC Technicians and Installers. This key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of field services, providing technical support, and managing personnel. The Field Supervisor will work closely with the Sales and Dispatch teams to ensure quality service delivery and customer satisfaction across all Commercial and Residential HVAC projects.Who we are: Paragon Mechanical is a leading provider of HVAC and hot water solutions in the Chicago area, serving both residential and commercial clients.   • Oversee field operations, ensuring that technicians are properly assigned and prepared for each job.
  • Provide on-site, phone, or written support to technicians and installers during appointments.
  • Step in and complete complex jobs when technicians are unable to do so, focusing on training to prevent future issues.
  • Manage both standard and emergency service appointments, working to expand service offerings.
  • Develop and modify Paragon's maintenance programs and service offerings to meet customer and technician needs.
  • Collaborate with the Dispatch team to optimize scheduling and daily workflows.
  • Track job progress, costs, and quality standards, ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Approve material purchases and ensure proper inventory management for vehicles and the shop.
  • Manage the company's safety program, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and standards.
  • Assist with budget preparation, reporting, and updates to operations manuals and policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of HVAC Technicians, Installers, and Helpers.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and performance management of all field workers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and take appropriate personnel actions, including discipline and termination, if necessary.
  • Develop and implement training programs for employees at all levels of experience.
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Extensive experience in Commercial and Residential HVAC service and installation, with significant field experience.
  • Proficiency in HVAC system design and design/build processes.
  • Boiler experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, manage resources, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with preferred experience in Service Fusion.
Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in technical services, dispatching, or a customer service-related position within the HVAC industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • HVAC-specific apprenticeship or formal training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to drive a company service van when required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • 8 hour shift
