OverviewMechanic & Installer II (FMSC-2024-21908)Bowhead seeks a Mechanic & Installer II to join our team in Dahlgren, VA in support of our NSWC Dahlgren Facilities Maintenance Support contract. Mechanic & Installer II is responsible for general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. They require advanced skills and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work and will keep the Supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered. ResponsibilitiesLicensed HVAC mechanic with commercial HVAC experience in installation, operation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems to include Direct Digital Control (DDC) HVAC < 5 tons. Additional experience in the installation of new duct/ventilation systems, and insulation, repair and modification of existing duct/ventilation systems.Ability and or experience in providing estimates on HVAC material cost and time to complete projects.Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of three(3) years' experience in Operations and Maintenance services supporting a military base or civilian installation. Possession of a valid driver's license. A minimum of one (1) year of successful (related) experience and performance in a military or civilian workforce preferred. Emergency Management/Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) experience, preferred.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently have a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.#LI-BG1
