Role: HVAC/Refrigeration Technician Location: Austin, TX Duration: Contract/Full-Time Responsibilities:•Provide accurate diagnosis for reactive service calls and make repairs as indicated by work order, meeting contractual deadlines. Ensuring equipment is operating properly before leaving customer premises •Ability to locate and identify and repair refrigerant leaks •Demonstrate an understanding and adhere to all work safety policies and procedures. •Build relationships with customers by providing excellent service and support. •Utilize your strong skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment such as •Complete electronic Work Order •Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers •Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle •Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business (new unit/ system, PM contracts, and additional services) •Leave customer premises clean, ensuring any messes have been cleaned up prior to closing out service call. Primary areas of expertise include:•Knowledge of refrigeration, electrical and microprocessor control systems •Strong mechanical aptitude skills •HVACR systems with strong understanding of commercial refrigeration systems •Must be proficient in the use of hand tools •Basic electrical experience needed •Must be good with communication both written and verbal •Must be proficient in using laptops, smart phones, tablets, as part of the ARI Service delivery Qualifications:•High school diploma or equivalent •Two-year degree from a HVACR technical school or 3 years of experience preferred working on commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-in coolers/freezers, racks, evaporators, condensers, cases, ice machines, etc. •Communication and customer service skills •Familiar with electronic Work Order systems •Must be able to work independently and without supervision •EPA certification •Valid Texas Driver License •OSHA 10 to obtained •Physically able to climb ladders and to lift objects up to fifty pounds.
