Our client is one of the major industrial/commercial contractors in the Mid-Atlantic region whose focus is in mechanical, fire protection, steel, and millwright/rigging and a highly regarded background in Infrastructure, equipment, fabrication, management, and logistics.The Eastern Carolina Service Manager who also happens to be a Marines Corps veteran is looking to bolster his field service staff with transitioning military talent who possess not only the technical aptitude but also a positive attitude that will allow them to mesh with customers and coworkers alike.The HVAC Service Technician will exhibit proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and cleaning of heating and cooling equipment and related systems (such as, boiler, forced air, hydronic, split systems, package units, make up air and exhaust systems, controls) on all types of HVAC systems.Essential functions:- Service products and equipment related to HVAC commercial systems and ensures customer satisfaction- Perform repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial boiler and HVAC systems- Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units- Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers- Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary- Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files- Keep all current manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair- Provids technical support to customersRequired:- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills- Possess knowledge of basic electricity, electrical and control systems- Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (DMV, criminal history, and so on)- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedBase salary, 460 - $90K, plus full health benefits, paid vacation, a 401K, sign on bonus, retention bonus Here is your chance to work under a leader (a former Marine helo mechanic) who went through a similar transition into the civilian workforce and found a field that will allow for job stability and career advancement due tthis booming industry.
