Location: Ft. Myers Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The HVAC Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair work on construction projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of HVAC systems including Chilled Water systems and Ductwork/Sheet Metal work. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Experience in Health care facilities is desirable. Direct knowledge and experience in Chilled Water piping systems is required. Supervise HVAC teams, including subcontractors and in-house staff, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards. Review project, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with design and customer requirements. Coordinate with other construction disciplines, such as plumbing and electrical, to avoid conflicts and ensure project efficiency. Monitor work progress, quality, and safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations. Manage project timelines, adjusting as needed to meet deadlines while maintaining quality control. Provide leadership in troubleshooting complex HVAC systems issues and provide solutions in a timely manner. Perform inspections and verify that HVAC systems are working efficiently and meet all codes and regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project managers. Prepare and maintain daily/weekly reports on work progress, costs, and team performance. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification in HVAC systems preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of HVAC experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role. Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and regulations. Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams and foster collaboration. Ability to solve problems quickly and work under tight deadlines. Proficient with scheduling software and Microsoft Office. OSHA certification or similar safety training is preferred. Working Conditions: Primarily works at construction sites with exposure to outdoor conditions. Occasional travel to multiple project sites may be required.
