Job Description
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Building Maintenance Tech II - HVAC Tech. This position is primarily responsible for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) systems, which includes the performance of skilled work in diagnostic testing, repair, and maintenance. Conducts inspections and makes necessary repairs to various structures and mechanical equipment. Performs HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry repairs and welding. Assists with the renovation and remodeling of buildings and monitors energy controls. Performs related duties as required. Work is performed under the direction of the Facilities Technical Coordinator.
Candidates must have the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Must have over two years of experience in building maintenance and four years of HVAC work, with a strong emphasis in diagnostics. Must have at least six months of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator's Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
HVAC Technician Certificate and EPA License required. Mechanical A or B Contractor License preferred.
