MalaceHR is seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide general maintenance and ensure that our assigned buildings are safe, secure, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance, including troubleshooting systems, performing preventative maintenance, and managing a team of technicians. This position operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the added responsibility of being on-call for emergency maintenance needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Troubleshoot and repair power systems, HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct general and preventative maintenance across carpentry, plumbing systems, and other critical infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure proper execution of maintenance tasks.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as required.
- Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as needed.
- Provide emergency maintenance support as needed, being on-call when required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance processes, including design, use, repair, and upkeep.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems maintenance.
- Ability to manage and lead a team of technicians.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related work.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team of technicians.
- HVAC background or experience is preferred.
