Job DescriptionOur client, a leading baked goods company, is currently seeking an accomplished HVAC Technician Lead to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:1) Diagnose problems with refrigeration and air conditioning units and perform repairs2) Maintain, adjust and repair boilers, heating, and cooling refrigeration systems3) Prepare preliminary investigations in areas for justification of proposed changes and additions to plant equipment requested by operating departments4) Develop specifications for new equipment, such as turbines, pipes, fans, valves, regulators and controls5) Direct and coordinate plant workers engaged in routine operations and maintenance activities6) Start the system, observe the operation, read gauges and instruments and adjust mechanisms, such as valves, controls and pumps to control the level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in the system7) Manage and coordinate large projects inter and cross-departmentally by developing project plans, communicating with project team members, tracking progress, and providing progress reports8) Assist in the training of new and re-training of existing employees9) Adhere to safety, food safety, quality and GMP regulations10) Report safety, food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action11) Work effectively, efficiently and positively with minimal supervision12) Issue and prioritize daily work tasks to a team of HVAC Technicians13) Act as a liaison between multiple teams, such as Maintenance, Engineering, and Production to provide feedback during routine or project work14) Communicate with the Manager regarding task assignment, task completion and deviation from the task schedule15) Control, develop, maintain and implement a training schedule for the department in conjunction with the Maintenance Management16) Ensure all required training documentation is completed and maintained in a timely and accurate manner, including best practice utilization of the e-learning management system17) Ensure all required PMs are completed on time and documented in the EAM system18) Assist in writing and development of SOPs19) Perform other duties as assignedCritical Requirements1) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)2) Recent experience in the baked goods industry is strongly preferred3) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenanceThis role is a great opportunity for the right person looking to advance their career with a wonderful company.
