If so, Pearce has a career for you! Our HVAC Technicians service and repair commercial HVAC units on cell phone towers. This role is a great match for responsible self-starters who are willing to travel.Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units - diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire HVAC systems
- Perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment
- Replace or install forced air heating, air conditioning systems, and complete hydronic heating systems or refrigeration equipment in telecommunication shelters
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment and troubleshooting low voltage control systems
- Understanding of underground gas monitoring, system, (AKA, Sierra 2400, Sierra 2450, Quest control systems)
- Complete all necessary safety and technical training provided by Pearce Services and maintain safe work practices as outlined in the Pearce Services Safety Manual
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs. Core Experience:
- Prior experience with underground CEV (Controlled Environment Vault) preferred along with knowledge of HVAC codes and their proper application
- Ability to demonstrate competency with installation and diagnostics to ensure the completion of services professional level
- Able to read and understand electrical ladder schematics
- Basic plumbing knowledge of sump pumps and strong knowledge of pumps, dry coolers, and cooling towers
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email using PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft and internet products
- Understanding of telecommunications and data processing operations
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Physical/Work Environment:At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
- Compliance with FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA Regulations
- Must have a universal refrigerant card (include 410a) EPA 608. Types 1, 2, and 3
- Extensive daily travel with an independent work structure
- Must have the ability to be on call and travel extensively for work when needed with the ability to work solo for long periods of time and with a project team
- May need to pass a DOT physical
