We are looking for a Family Specialist, who will provide family-centered mental health counseling, support, crisis intervention, and case management services for children, youth and families enrolled in Wraparound. As a Family Specialist, you are a member of the Child and Family Team (CFT) and provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive services in the community at times and locations convenient to the family. As a Family Specialist, you will also work as a Counselor on the Family Urgent Response System (FURS) response team during on-call shifts to provide community-based crisis intervention and mental health services.

Wraparound/FURS are community-based programs that serve at-risk youth from ages 0-21 throughout Ventura County. The Family Specialist role works with a team of Clinicians, Facilitators, Parent Partners, and Youth Advocates to support the youth and their family. We do whatever it takes to help our community thrive.

Responsibilities
WRAP:
* Provide counseling and case management services for enrolled youth and their families.
* Support client and family to connect to natural supports and community-based resources.
* In partnership with the rest of the Seneca Wraparound team, the Family Specialist will provide individual sessions and crisis intervention as needed in client's homes, schools, and other community locations
* Complete mental health notes and other required clinical paperwork.
* Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork including, but not limited to the following: time sheets, petty cash, and mileage.
* Consult on a weekly basis with team members to provide individualized services to enrolled youth and their families
FURS:
* Work as part of a FURS mobile response team to provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed in client homes and in the community.
* Provide aftercare services to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to community-based resources.
* Complete mental health notes and other required clinical paperwork.
* Participate in providing emergency on-call response as scheduled.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a social services-related field.
* Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and workforce.
* Strong organizational, time management and writing skills.
* Flexible schedule with ability to work early mornings and evenings.
* Must be able to transport clients.
* At least 21 years of age.
* TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
* Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy.
* Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
PREFERRED
* Experience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs.
* Experience implementing family-focused Wraparound services (preferred) or similar community-based service.
