Position Description:
Penn Medicine Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking full time Hospitalist to join their team. The hospitalist would work a hybrid schedule spilt between days and nights. Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation's first hospital, is a 515-bed acute care facility that provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic medical services and functions as a major teaching and clinical research institution. Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) is part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and is located at 8th and Spruce Streets in the historic Society Hill district of Philadelphia.
The Hospitalist group at Pennsylvania Hospital is a well-established, stable, and respected group who value high quality patient care. They are devoted to serving as expert educators and mentors to the next generation of physicians. Candidates should have a strong interest in medical student and resident education.
Primary responsibilities include direct patient care on the teaching services, non-teaching service, observation Medicine service, and the consult/co-management service. Pennsylvania Hospital has a closed ICU, with an open Intermediate Critical Care Unit. Occasional procedures are required.
