This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation cases, regulatory compliance, and environmental law matters. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing both electronic and paper case files, reviewing documents, preparing reports and assisting attorneys in depositions, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Familiarity with casepoint, relativity, and litigation support is a plus. A background in environmental law is a plus, as well as strong skills in legal research and e-discovery. - Manage electronic and paper case files and ensure all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and ADR.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and e-discovery to support case development.
- Draft FIOA requests and other legal documents as required.
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of environmental law.
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and relevancy.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing case progress and outcomes.
- Utilize casepoint and relativity software to support litigation processes.
- Provide general litigation support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a litigation paralegal role.
- Demonstrated experience with litigation, regulatory compliance, and environmental law.
- Proficient in managing electronic and paper case files.
- Experience in preparing reports and assisting attorneys in depositions, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and ADR.
- Familiarity with casepoint and relativity software is a plus.
- Strong skills in legal research and e-discovery.
- Proven ability to draft FIOA requests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
