Akkodis is seeking a Hybrid Medical Device R&D Engineering Coordinator for a six-month contract position with a client located in Bloomington, IN. You will technically document the testing, feasibility, construction and production process of new and/or changed medical products.
Rate Range: $50.00/hour to $55.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Hybrid Medical Device R&D Engineering Coordinator job responsibilities include:
• Build and test new product prototypes
• Document the final product design
• Assist in writing design and specification documentation for FDA application
• Initiate and oversee the pre-production run of new products
• Plan the ongoing production of the product
• Consult with Production personnel for device changes/updates as necessary.
• Maintain a design file for each new product and turn that file over at product completion for permanent records.
• Call on vendors to assess raw materials. Work with test facilities.
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Design Verification and Validation tasks
• Material Management – shipping materials, etc. to and from vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 4-year degree in Engineering/Technology.
• One to three years of post-education engineering experience in a regulated environment
• Experience and understanding of the validation process
• Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated. Driven, but willing to complete repetitive tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical writing skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
• Must be very organized.
