About Us: Ranger Environmental is an industrial and environmental cleaning company looking for motivated individuals to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Hydroexcavating Laborer to join our team, in the Selma area, who will assist in the safe and efficient operation of hydroexcavation equipment, working alongside operators to complete various excavation and utility location tasks. This role requires the use of your personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) to travel to various work sites, close collaboration with contract Supervisors, construction team, and public works officials. Pay will be based upon number of locations completed per day (equivalent to $20-$30/hr). Work schedule is 50 hours per week (7am to 5pm), which may include a Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain hydroexcavation equipment under supervision.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of hydroexcavation equipment.
• Use pressurized water and vacuum systems to safely expose underground utilities and other buried infrastructure.
• Ensure work site safety by adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and moving equipment.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports for each project.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Communicate with supervisors and operators about job progress and potential hazards.
• Load and unload materials and equipment as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
• Previous experience in construction, excavation, or hydroexcavation preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of underground utilities (water, gas, electrical).
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Work Location: Selma

* This assignment is expected to last around 5 to 6 months. After its completion, the employee will transition to a new assignment, with hourly pay to be determined at the start of the new assignment.
