Location: Port Huron,MI, USA
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, and Medical Director, the Hyperbaric Technician will be responsible for administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the physician. The technician is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, and for maintaining safety standards recognized by the industry. The hyperbaric technician will assist in the delivery of any additional patient care appropriate to the level of his/her training including wound care.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

2. Contributes to the implementation of the patient plan of care.
3. Contributes to the evaluation of the patient plan of care.
4. Contributes to the efficient operation of the Wound Center.
5. Demonstrates commitment to personal career growth and competency.
6. Prepares, educates, and orients patients for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
7. Monitors and controls the performance of the hyperbaric chamber equipment, monitors patient responses and makes appropriate adjustments to ensure patient safety and safe, effective use of equipment.
8. Makes appropriate data entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits and keeps complete and accurate patient records as they pertain to treatment documentation.
9. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Certified or licensed in a health care profession such as Medical Assistant, Nurse Aide, LPN, Respiratory Care, EMT, paramedic, etc.
* Two (2) years in a health care setting.
* BLS certification by the American Heart Association within three (3) months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to communicate effectively.
2. Excellent organizational skills.
3. Computer experience in Word processing, database input and spreadsheets.
