- Must have 3+ years' experience as a journeyman electrician & 2+ years' experience in s supervisory position within the electrical department.
- Must be NCCER certified.
- Must illustrate the knowledge of the electrical codes, skills, and abilities required.
- Must be able to read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications.
- Must have knowledge of Instrument Fittings, Piping Specifications, heat tracing installation, and witness performance testing of installed/ repaired systems.
- Must possess extensive knowledge of inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods and certification processes.
Position Duties
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, isometric drawings, engineering instructions, and manufacture instructions.
- Inspect, approve or reject electrical and instrument work being performed on components.
- Provide information regarding processes and specifications to electricians, instrument techs, supervisors, and other appropriate individuals.
- Tests and analyze electronic and measuring equipment for accuracy and functionality.
- Will test electrical connections and terminations for continuity as per specifications.
- Maintain records for equipment inspection log, action required lists, and quality control issues to management.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 3+ years' experience as a journeyman electrician & 2+ years' experience in s supervisory position within the electrical department.
- National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- Must have extensive electrical knowledge to include reading blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work but not limited to ohms law and how on apply to multiple applications, motor controls, switch boxes, terminating, wire and cable identification and load abilities, temporary power, conduit, and cable trays.
- Must have extensive knowledge of electrical and instrument equipment in regards to the work being performed. This is to include but no limited to electrical wires and cables, cable tray, autoclave fittings, tools, termination and connecting material, switch systems, and control systems.
- Must know how to identify, install, clean, and purge lines, and must have knowledge of Control Valves, Transmitters (flow, pressure, level, temperature), and Meters using P&IDs, Specification sheets, and Job Site Detail Sheets.
- Must be able to work with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems.
- Must have knowledge of inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, and certification processes.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Package and familiar with other computer packages (e.g., MS Project, Outlook, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Must be a team player and have effective communication skills in dealing with co-workers and any other work-related contacts.
- Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction.
- Must be able to use problem-solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify issues, including safety risks.
- Must possess a TDLR journeyman electrician license.
Preferred Additional Qualification
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROF' ed employee.
- Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
- Formal or technical education within the electrical field.
- National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- Formal or technical education within the instrument field.

- This position reports to the site quality manager.
