    Job Description
    • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, clean, and overhaul electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic digital systems including 110-220-440 volt single and three-phase electrical distribution, disconnect starters and push button stations, ignition wiring systems, control circuits on boilers, combustion equipment, batch weighing and automatic processing equipment, sequential digital logic and distributed digital and analog process control systems.
    • Calibrate and troubleshoot a wide range of instruments consisting of pneumatic, electronic, and digital modes including pressure, level, temperature and pH controllers and recorders, gas analyzers, weigh cells, air operated valves, electronic probes, programmable controllers, digital and analog controllers, mass flow devices, speed control, pulse flow devices, nuclear measurement devices, etc.
    • Repair, install, and maintain all plant equipment, buildings, utilities, and services.
    • Ability to interface with PLCs and DCS for troubleshooting, lockouts, calibrations, checkouts, or process changes such as adding alarms or adjusting alarm setpoints. Some working knowledge of DCS logic and programming to support these activities.
    • Identify specific parts and supplies needed for specific jobs and obtain from the storeroom. Place orders when additional parts are needed.
    • Enter information into the Computerized Maintenance Management System to document work completed, equipment condition, and time reporting.
    • Notify the manager of any circumstances that will require additional parts, assistance, further investigation, or which may delay the scheduled completion of the work.
    • Clean all work areas and maintain tools and maintenance equipment.
    • Attend any designated training courses as required by the Company to maintain or improve his or her skills for required mechanical and/or E&I maintenance.
    • Maintain a working familiarity with all plant processes and equipment and relation to critical equipment.
    • Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.
    • Comply with company policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
    • Assist as needed to Install, troubleshoot, maintain, clean, and overhaul rotating equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, agitators, belt conveyors, screw conveyors, vibratory conveyors, bucket elevators, fans, blowers, rotary valves, couplings, belts/sheaves, chains/sprockets, hammer mills, etc.
    • Assist as needed to Install, troubleshoot, fabricate, maintain, clean, and repair stationary equipment including piping, valves, piping supports, insulation, sheet metal, angle iron, heat exchangers, cooling towers, tanks, pressure vessels, ladders, grating, trenches, handrails, doors, etc.
    • Assist as needed to Troubleshoot and maintain lube oil systems, shaft sealing systems, and overall equipment/system performance.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Electronics, Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation Technology or similar Industrial Electrical Maintenance degree or at least 3 years industrial experience as an Instrumentation Technician, Industrial Electrician and general plant maintenance experience.
    • Must Demonstrate a Strong Work Ethic (Attendance, Attitude, Etc.)
    • Good Decision-making Skills (makes decisions, acts upon them, willing to defend decisions over peer pressure)
    • Firm understanding of life critical safety procedures such as LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Excavations, etc.
    • Ability to work with a team and also self directed with initiative to get tasks completed and to communicate findings, questions, and results.
    Additional Information

    Special Factors

    • Some Scheduled, Unscheduled, and Holiday Overtime Required
    • Must be Available for Call-ins and Weekend Work
    • Industrial Plant Setting
    • Must be able to climb 150' ladder at least once a month
