Client: Financial Services (IBM) Industry: Insurance Job Title: IAM Architect Location: Remote Duration: 01 Apr 2024 - 28 Dec 2024 Travel Type: Remote (no expenses) Rate $90/hr. on C2C Visa No H1 Job Requirements: The IBM application team at CLIENT is actively seeking a resource ( or a team )with expertise in customizing and configuring APIs for IBM-supported business applications, these applications are integrated with IAM layer through Ping Identity. CLIENT recently completed a migration from OrchIS to Ping Identity for Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication and authorization. This transition to Ping Identity is part of their modernization strategy, where legacy systems are accessed with extensive customization. In the current architecture, CLIENT has transitioned from OrchIS to Ping Identity and utilizes Kong API Gateway. To address the challenges inherent in this migration and minimize impact on the overall process, the team has strategically chosen to absorb most customizations within the API Gateway. This approach ensures that applications do not undergo drastic changes, contributing to a smoother transition. To facilitate seamless integration between the identity and access management layer and applications through Kong API, the IBM team (Managing the apps ) is actively looking for an architect/senior developer role. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of access management requirements and play a pivotal role in coaching and guiding the team through the API integration process between applications and the Kong API Gateway. The resource is not intended to be a hand-on technical expert in Ping/Kong but should be able to document existing architecture and coach the IBM API team and consult with the client IAM leads to on the requirements needed for a successful end-to-end integration of the business applications to the IAM infrastructure through the intermediate API layer. The role will work closely with the CLIENT team in the US as well as the API team in India. Preference is for an India resource who can provide some overlap with US time zone. The first 2 months will involve knowledge transfer activities with the US and India based CLIENT team.
