As such, GS is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Within the Global Marketing function but aligned to the Investment Banking division, sits the IBD marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the division. Working across the core elements of this premiere franchisefrom M&A activity to our Cross-Markets Group to our Transaction Banking businessthe team leads messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics.

Role SummaryThis Vice President will play a key role within the IBD marketing team, leading integrated marketing for the key priority areas of the division. They will partner across the divisional marketing team, leveraging messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, paid media, social media, analytics, and design to create end-to-end campaigns and programs in service of the commercial objectives of the business. The VP of integrated marketing will partner with client-facing business leaders across advisory and financing strategies to harness the top commercial priorities and translate them into full-funnel plans, reaching current and future clients as well as an ecosystem of other stakeholders including recruits and the media. Position Responsibilities

  • Build affinity for the Investment Banking business through the development and execution of strategic marketing plans, spanning key thematic and commercial priorities
  • Partner with business unit leaders to understand specific commercial objectives in order to develop unique content and positioning; be an active driver of business growth through nurture, acquisition, and retention efforts
  • Develop marketing plans around major announcements, tentpole events and client conferences, and flagship initiatives
  • Oversee the development and creation of new marketing collateral (branded templates for e-mails, presentations, premier publications, etc.) in partnership with the divisional marketing content team
  • Map out a coordinated content calendar that sequences externally published content appropriately and effectively across the division and Firmwide brand overall
  • Leverage social and paid media to develop targeted and efficient organic and paid programs
  • Collaborate with divisional and functional market researchers and marketing analytics teams to identify and leverage insights, and monitor performance of marketing efforts
  • Contribute to the divisions annual conference strategy, overseeing the creation of materials which reflect key priorities and asset classes
  • Partner with Media Relations on relevant opportunities that showcase the business

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in a similar role either within a marketing agency or similar leading financial institution
  • In-depth knowledge of the alternative asset management industry: products, clients, regulations, competitors
  • Strong integrated marketing skills in both strategy and execution; ability to leverage subject matter experts throughout broader divisional marketing team in pursuit of effective outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, with working knowledge of website design, lead generation, and analytics in order to partner with subject matter experts
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
  • Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations
  • Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standard
  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS); MBA preferred
