YOUR IMPACT

The Investment Grade Capital Markets Group within the Investment Banking Division is looking for a Vice President with Capital Markets banking (or related) experience to join the team in New York. Strong preference is for prior experience covering banks, and specialty finance, financial technology, and/or asset management companies.

Our division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with the largest and most sophisticated corporate and financial institution clients and are a team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.

Our Investment Grade Capital Markets Group advises corporations and financial institutions on capital structure across debt, hybrid, derivative and equity-linked products. The group works closely with classic investment banking as well as the associated product groups to execute financings and balance sheet strategies

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

Role Responsibilities

  • Advise corporations and financial institutions on capital structure and market access across debt, hybrid, derivative and equity-linked products
  • Originate, structure and execute fixed income deals for first time issuers and frequent financers in the US and international bond markets
  • Track and analyze regulatory and tax developments that may impact our client base
  • Cover a broad range of corporate clients across multiple sectors
  • Work alongside investment banking coverage team on designing and executing acquisition financing

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications

  • Masters Degree and 4+ years of investment banking experience; OR Bachelors degree and 7+ years of investment banking or equivalent experience
  • Strong track record of executing M&A and financing transactions in an investment banking advisory role
  • 2+ years of experience in leading deal teams of analysts and associates
  • History of outstanding academic and professional achievement

  • Strong quantitative and technical abilities
  • Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
