Ice Rink Monitor/Aide

The Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applicants for seasonal, part time Ice Rink Monitor & Ice Rink Aide positions. Available shifts are morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. These positions will be responsible for assisting with the Dodge Park Ice Rink inside of Dodge Park. The ability to skate is preferred but not required. Operating season is December through February. Hourly wage is $13.00 - $14.00 based on experience and completion of training.

Position Responsibilities

• Communicating with ice rink patrons
• Skate guard, skate rental
• Counter sales
• Enforcement of ice rink rules
• Assisting in pre-season startup and post-season shutdown activities
• Performing janitorial maintenance of the ice rink area and office

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to skate preferred, or must be willing to learn
• Must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
• Applicants must pass a background check and First Aid/CPR training
