As an Ice Rink Sales Attendant, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our ice rink visitors.Dates: November 15 - January 20 is our ice rink season. Some required availability over the holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.Responsibilities:
- Assists with ice rink opening and closing procedures, including, and not limited to moving rink side equipment into place, setting out signage, etc.
- Handle online reservations and in-person transactions for admissions, skate rentals, and maintain accurate records. Keeps an accurate inventory of rental skates.
- Processes credit card payments and ensures register totals are in balance.
- Answers questions concerning rates, reservations and gives information concerning upcoming events and attractions.
- Keeps work area neat, clean, and organized at all times.
- Assists with the cleanliness of ice rink grounds.
- Provides high quality customer service and effectively communicates with guests.
- Recognizes problems as they arise and brings them to the attention of Ice Rink Supervisor.
- Adheres to City policies, follows safety guidelines, and exercises good judgment in all aspects of responsibility.
- Willingness to perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Available nights, weekends, and some holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and New Years Day.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.
- Skating experience is a plus.
