Maintain ice quality to NHL standards dailyAid with the responsibilities of gameday proceduresWork in both a team and individual setting effectivelyAid in maintaining safe and proper conditions with the ice, boards, glass and bench areasPerform routine and emergency maintenance on ZambonisAssist with the ice installation processRestoring safe and proper ice conditions to NHL standards following conversionsOperate the ice plant for NHL and non-NHL ice related activitiesHelp with building maintenance when time allowsEducation/Training
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have knowledge of Ice Plant Operation, Level Ice and Zamboni. Must be of good character.
ExperienceKnowledge of ice plant operation as well as previous Ice Technician and Zamboni driving experience is preferred.(three to five years)Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand, sit, walk for extended and varying periods of time; Must be able to walk stairs; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; Must be willing and able to respond to emergent situations; Must be able to work irregular hours that include the following:Schedule This role is part time which may include varying shifts, weekends and holidays.CompensationThis role pays $17.00 per hourWestern New York Arena, LLC retains the right to change this job description at any time.
