This position will be located within the Institute for Corporate and Public Safety (ICPS); a federally funded training entity under the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC). Under the direction of the ICPS Director, the Training Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all class requests for a series of courses as they are offered throughout the United States and its territories. This is a full time provisional, grant funded position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage 60 or more delivery requests at any given time.
  • Oversee and support contract trainer activities for each training delivery request.
  • Develop working relationships with the State Approving Authority (SAA) from each state and each delivery community local point of contact (LPOC).
  • Primary point of contact for RDPC administration, instructor, SAA, and LPOC stakeholders for each class delivery.
  • Analyze delivery schedule and registration status to determine next steps and schedule work.
  • Responsible for tracking program documents, maintaining databases, and establishing and maintaining of files for the ICPS Director/Principal Investigator.
  • Discover, survey, record and track data of training sessions to report for compliance results. * Update and post all course specific related logistics to a national website.
  • Process all DHS course specific paperwork including course rosters, pre and post-tests, course registrations and course evaluations.
  • Prepare and track operational purchase requisitions.
  • Make travel arrangements, itineraries, and calendars for upcoming course sessions.
  • Evaluate, approve, and arrange in-process travel changes during and after business hours.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate printing and shipping of course materials.
  • Scan documents for electronic filing and maintain paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Update and document delivery procedures as needed to sustain the delivery program.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on delivery activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Rate of Pay: $40,000 - $45,000 annually

  • Possess an understanding of and appreciation for the community college and its socioeconomic role in access to higher education, as well as the varied student types served by NWACC.
  • Ability to work with multiple customer, participant, and partner types with sometimes divergent needs.
  • Ability to rise above challenges and setbacks and work with a team to achieve desired results.
  • Possess effective project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Possess basic spreadsheet and web form skills.
  • Ability to track expenses at the delivery level.
  • Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to learn and apply new information, knowledge, and experiences in a timely manner.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to support online, in-person, and hybrid courses.
  • Must be able to use web-based learning management systems.
  • Ability to work on 50-60 projects at one time and to prioritize activities accordingly.
  • Possess effective organizational skills and attention to detail, effective follow-through, and commitment to customer service.

Minimum Education

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in general business, accounting, business education, or a related field; plus two years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, or a related field.
