Smaller class sizes in diverse educational settings. Responsibilities What you can expect to do. Management of all school IEP records Organize and carry-out training for appropriate school personnel Monitor and manage records to assure compliance with federal and state special education regulations Consult with Director to ensure appropriate placement for students within the school programs for year-round intake Provide instructional support to classroom teachers in overseeing the delivery of special education services Oversee all aspects of IEP development, diagnostic assessments and annual reviews Facilitate IEP process, information exchange, preparation and scheduling for IEP meetings Work closely with teaching staff to assure that instructional modifications/accommodations are met during classroom instruction Oversee the development, tracking, dissemination and proper implementation of IEP mandated accommodations for students during state testing events Work directly with parents, as needed to answer questions and ensure that all school actions are in compliance Knowledge of ED students, familiarity with curriculum and a variety of instructional strategies and assessment tools Work with directors, teachers and parents to determine appropriate placement for students annually Develop relationships with district representatives to showcase the program and encourage enrollment Other duties may be included Qualifications What we expect of you. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree in Education preferred Special Education Certification required Two years teaching or working in a school setting with special needs student populations Three years of experience working with Maryland Online IEP and/or Easy IEP systems Experience working with at risk student populations Skills and Abilities: Deep understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with teachers, administrators, and students. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Proficiency in data analysis and the use of technology to support teaching and learning.
