Job Overview: A Charge RN (Charge Registered Nurse) is a senior nursing role responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a nursing unit. This position involves coordinating patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring that the unit runs efficiently and effectively. The Charge RN handles staffing assignments, addresses any issues or conflicts that arise among the team, and ensures that patient care standards and hospital protocols are adhered to. They also act as a liaison between the nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, facilitating communication and collaboration. Additionally, the Charge RN manages patient admissions and discharges, monitors patient progress, and ensures that resources are appropriately allocated. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to make quick decisions in a dynamic healthcare environment. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing Experience: At least one-year previous experience in clinical unit preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required. Licenses/Certificates: Current IL RN license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through The American Heart Association required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications must be obtained by the end of the month following 90 days of employment. TNCC/TNS & ENPC preferred. Compensation:Hourly Range - $31.25-$46.88Incentives:Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.Bonus:Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics.
