Overview:

The Imaging Services Manager is responsible for supervising the day to day activities of the Radiology Department of Baptist Hospital. The manager ensures service operation, personnel management, resource allocation, and control in order to support and enhance patient care. This position is responsible for assuring the orientation, training, evaluation and specific job duties of the team members of the Imaging Department. The Imaging Services Manager is responsible for all the issues of quality care of exams performed and for providing a presentation tool for all QA measurements. This position performs all duties relating to the efficiency of the department. The Imaging Services Manager is responsible for departments to have a direct reporting structure to the positions as well as secondary reporting from the separate department managers. The position verifies the clinical activities of students assigned to Diagnostic Radiology and Ultrasound that are in the technology programs. The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree healthcare or business-related field is required. (Five years Radiology experience maybe be considered in lieu of bachelors degree)
  • Five years experience in Radiology is required
  • Previous supervisor/leadership experience is required
  • Active professional imaging certification in ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB
  • Current Florida Radiology Technologist license, if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of human resources management, imaging department operation, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards required. Demonstrated leadership ability and potential managerial competency. Basic Computer Skills. Effective communication skills, ability to deal well with people, ability to problem solve, ability to confront/resolve issues, ability to motivate others, ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others.
