Schedule: Part-Time/PRN Shift : 7:30am-4:00pm/8:00am-4:30pm The community youll be caring for: Orlando Campus o AdventHealth Orlando is a lush tropical campus and our flagship hospital. o This 1,414-bed hospital serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. o We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 50,000 inpatients each year. The role youll contribute: Assists technologists and provides support for the imaging department. The value youll bring to the team: Assists technologists in positioning patients for radiology procedures Follows radiation/magnetic field safety procedures and guidelines Assists with room turnover and restocking of supplies Informs patient of their destination. Communicates with Monitor techs and Nursing staff when transporting patients. Identifiespatient whereabouts on patient transport logs. Communicates with requesting department of any delays and cancellations Demonstrates the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to effectively treat and care for patients of all ages (neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics) Ensures equipment is clean and functioning properly before/after each transport Demonstrates appropriate use of PPE Identifies safety issues, intervenes and notifies supervisor. Operates equipment in a safe manner and adheres to all infection control standards May transport pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include proper handling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment Maintains a knowledge and understanding of process improvement initiatives for the department Attends all meetings and seminars as instructed by department director/manager Escorts/transports patients between clinical areas and verifies patient identities, according to policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Grad or Equiv 0 years experience LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support - CPR Cert This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
