Every day, we help our customers solve complex challenges by safely managing materials that could otherwise spread disease, contaminate the environment, or compromise one's identity.Join us on our mission to protect health and well-being in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way.Position Purpose:This position is responsible for managing Information technology projects through requirements definition, planning, testing, and implementation.Key Job Activities:Project PlanningWork with Stericycle business sponsors and IT resources to define the requirements and scope of the project.Work with management to obtain the resources needed for the project.Schedule tasks, deadlines, and key milestones specified by the IT Department's Standard Project Workflow.Identify and look for ways to mitigate resource constraints and other risks associated with the project timeline.Project ExecutionManage the status of Development and Testing resources for the project. Work with Production Control to ensure a successful deployment of all software and hardware specified by the project.Review project deliverables, and pull in subject matter experts to address issues, as needed.Coordinate User Acceptance Test for formal sign-off by the business sponsors.Project ReportingMeet with business sponsors on a regular basis to communicate project progress and discuss issues.Resolve issues with the appropriate level of management.Effectively manage scope creep by building consensus about the necessity to change the original project plan.Experience (North America):Education & Experience:Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in information technology, business, engineering or science, or the equivalent in related work experiencePMP certification is a plusFive or more years of experience in a business or IT environment, including two or more years of project management experienceDemonstrates knowledge of and experience in requirements gathering and design deliverablesDemonstrates a good understanding of data structures, data flow, and human interface fundamentalsDemonstrates solid experience with managing infrastructure projectsDemonstrates familiarity with development/support tools/platform:MS Windows and Vista OS..NET, SQL Server, , Team Foundation Server (Most recent/current versions are preferred)Demonstrates a passion for delivering excellent customer experiencesExperience with Planview EnterpriseOne/Portfolios and ProjectPlace is a plusLicenses and Required Competencies:Demonstrates the ability to ask questions and gather information in order to create project status reportsDemonstrates the ability to identify problems and suggest possible causes and solutionsDemonstrates the ability to review and proofread work for accuracy and complete specific aspects of assignments, as directed.Demonstrates the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner.Demonstrates the ability to generate new ideas; recognize the need for and develop new approaches to problem resolutionDemonstrates the ability to deal openly and honestly with internal and external customers while building credibility and maintaining trust.Demonstrates the ability to manage own time, activities, and resources.Demonstrates the ability to follow rules, guidelines, and procedures.Ability to organize, manage, and lead projects effectively.Certifications and/or Licenses:Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)Benefits:Stericycle currently offers its employees the option to participate in a full range of benefits, including a health care program which includes medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage, healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, an employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and sick time, a 401(k) plan, and an employee stock purchase plan.Our Promise:Stericycle is committed to attracting and retaining a diverse workforce, and to valuing unique perspectives and identities.
