Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of immigration laws, a proven track record of successful case outcomes, and the ability to provide high-quality legal representation. This role is on-site at our office in Flushing, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including asylum, deportation defense, and adjustment of status cases.
- Provide legal counsel and advice on a wide range of immigration matters, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, and naturalization.
- Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on changes in immigration laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present cases before USCIS, EOIR, and other relevant agencies.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law, experience with individual hearings is a must.
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
- Strong understanding of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively under pressure.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
