Seeking a bright, energetic, and hard-working Immigration Attorney. This role requires superior academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills, and must be prepared to work both independently and collaboratively on a variety of substantive matters. The ideal candidate should have at least 2-4 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft and review legal documents including trial court briefs, appellate briefs, motions, pleadings, detailed letters, and similar documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Provide legal counsel on matters.
- Represent clients in adminstrative/immigration court proceedings, advocating for their best interests while adhering to ethical guidelines.
- Assist in individual, family, employment, and corporate client intake followed by case preparation, strategy development, drafting, and submissions.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and share insights on complex legal issues.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2-4 years as a practicing attorney.
- Stong research, writing, and organization skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in legal drafting with attention to detail and clarity in communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to set and keep strict deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple cases effectively.
