Immigration Paralegal | Rochester, New York

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced candidate to join our law firm as an immigration paralegal. The successful candidate will be a part of a national immigration practice, which supports corporate client business groups. This position directly reports to the partners in the Immigration Practice Group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft visa petitions and other documents for submission to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
- Services, U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. Department of State
- Interact with clients from diverse organizations, professions, and cultural backgrounds
- Investigate facts, collect and review source documents and materials
- Function as a liaison between clients and attorneys
- Manage client cases to ensure appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Prior immigration paralegal experience strongly preferred; prior paralegal experience and work
- involving significant writing will also be considered; writing samples will be requested of
- interviewed candidates
- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education sufficient to indicate
- ability to be successful in the position
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and skill in proofreading complex documents
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively plan work assignments to meet client needs
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently, yet be an active contributor in a focused work team
