Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a highly motivated Import/Export Specialist to join their team.Job Title: Import/Export SpecialistLocation: Romulus, MIPay Rate: $20/hr.Job Responsibilities:
- Process inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely clearance.
- Work through assigned accounts, processing documents and information through established systems.
- Assist in the development of new accounts, including reviewing documentation, maintaining communications, and updating client profiles.
- Obtain government agency releases and coordinate delivery, receipt, and invoicing.
- Identify and complete transaction tasks that require special handling or expediting.
- Review and verify all entries, invoices, and client packages.
- Investigate and report any problems or irregularities.
- Continuously expand understanding of import/export processes through self-study and training.
- Perform Import/Export Specialist II responsibilities when needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4-6 years of related experience
- Professional certification may be required in some areas
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
