Since 1957, Hollingsworth Avent Averre & Purvis, PA, a full-service accounting firm located in Raleigh, NC, has provided closely held businesses and high net worth individuals with a full range of tax, audit and accounting services.

Due to continued growth, we're currently seeking a self-motivated team player with 5+ years of recent public accounting audit experience to lead audit and other attest engagements for private, for-profit and not for profit entities. Working directly with clients while providing business consulting, you will also assist with tax return preparation for individuals, trusts and small businesses and develop and cultivate professional client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of recent public accounting audit experience encompassing progressive scope and responsibilities
• CPA license required
• Knowledge of professional standards including GAAP and FASB
• Technical proficiency with the ability to effectively lead audit and other attest engagements
• Knowledge of Single Audit, Construction and Not-for-Profit Industries is preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, client service and PC skills including Microsoft Office and accounting software proficiency (Thomson Reuters software proficiency including SMART Practice, Workpapers CS & UltraTax is a plus)
• Ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
