The work is very rewarding and I feel I have 24/7 support from management - Age at Home CaregiverHOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS ROLE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)Assist Clients with Activities of Daily Living:
- Eating
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Transferring
- Toileting
- Walking or moving around
Housekeeping, Errands, and Companionship:
- Assistance with walks/rides and light exercise
- House cleaning, laundry, dishes, taking out trash, dusting, vacuuming, making beds, and changing linens
- Meal preparation, grocery shopping, and checking expiration dates
- Assists with pet care
- Keeping calendars up to date
- Activities such as playing games, looking at photos, and reading
- Accompany client to events, appointments, religious services, etc..
Administrative Tasks and Other Duties:
- Records accurate time and documents notes in appropriate systems
- Reports unusual or client changes to supervisor
- Collaborates with office staff and other caregivers to ensure coordination of care
- Regularly checks work email and responds within 24 hours to scheduling requests
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Smart phone with data plan and Wi-Fi capability
- Driver's license preferred
- Access to reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to be on time for visits and complete tasks on the care plan
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and standard precautions
- Ability to follow HIPPA laws and maintain confidentiality about clients, families, caregivers, and donors
FTE Role Only:
- Driver's license required
- Access to a reliable vehicle with insurance
- Ability to be redeployed throughout service area if needed
- Ability to be redeployed to other Agrace teams if caregiving hours are unavailable
