RESPONSIBILITIESDescription of the role:As an In-home Caregiver at Village Caregiving - Bowling Green, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our clients in Russellville, Kentucky. You will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, medication management, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. You will also provide companionship and emotional support to promote our clients' well-being.Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, if necessary.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments and community outings.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client's physical or mental condition.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a caregiver or related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to provide physical and emotional support to clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
  • Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
  • Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
  • Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
  • Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
  • Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
  • Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
  • Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
  • Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Physical endurance to complete required tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
