We are a Non-Medical, Home & Community Based Service (HCBS) Provider for CHOICES, providing compassionate care for AmeriGroup and United Healthcare. Our agency was founded in 2009 & licensed by Medicaid in 2011.Benefits of working for Charis Hearts: This is a 1099 Contractor PositionStartImmediatelyWeekly PayDirect DepositFlexible Schedules - FT & PT - build your own schedule Responsibilities:Assist elderly or disabled clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their care needs. This may include, but is not limited to: Perform housekeeping dutiesPlan and prepare meals (including clean-up), including serving if necessaryDo laundry (may include light ironing)Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing/showering, personal care, and hygieneRemind clients to take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)Help with physical therapy exercisesComplete client's shopping or accompany the client to complete their shoppingAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyReport any unusual incidents Qualifications: Must be able to pass a background checkMust be at least 18 years oldExperience as a Caregiver preferableValid driver's license and reliable daily transportationAvailable to work different shifts, and/or some weekendsWillingness to enforce health and safety standardsAbility to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodationsHoyer Lift Experience (specific to client) Some positions do require COVID vaccination.Charis Hearts has teamed up with Employee Benefit Specialists to provide you the opportunity to customize your own health and voluntary benefit plan for you and your family.
