In-Home Outreach Counselor – Bilingual, English and SpanishJob Type: PermanentJob Category: HealthcareJob Industry: Healthcare Systems and ServicesSalary: The pay we're offering is $27-$32 per hourSign-On Bonus: $2000Bilingual Stipend: with a BA degree: $2000, with a MA degree: $4000The OpportunityDescriptionWe're looking for an In-Home Outreach Counselor – Bilingual, English and Spanish , working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Los Angeles, California, United States .As an In-Home Outreach Counselor, reporting to the Program Coordinator with Hillside, you will use your Human Services education degree and your compassion for others to build trust and support for youth and families as you strengthen confidence in those you support to enable them to be their best selves. You will be an advocate for the families you're assigned to ensure they have access to resources needed.What your day looks like as an In-Home Outreach Counselor:You will conduct thorough psycho-social assessments using a standardized in-home tool and assess the well-being and safety of the children within the home environment.By providing in-home counseling, parent education, teaching and demonstration, case management, crisis intervention, child focus activities, substitute adult role modeling and supportive services, you will provide tools to families to improve the overall family function.While meeting with the families on a regular basis, you will continually assess the family and home for child safety and risk issues as prescribed by the MCPC case plan.You will complete administrative tasks to track progress and report activities, which includes, complete all necessary documentation timely and accurately including progress notes, monthly reports and quarterly MCPCs, maintain client case files, provide weekly case notes, monthly reports, and mileage to your Program Coordinator by due dates.How you will be supported:With the collaboration of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Children's Social Worker (CSW) and families you will implement a multi-disciplinary case planning committee (MCPC) individualized family support case plan.By attending community networking meetings and other community meetings, you'll gain support and community to support the communities around you.You'll meet weekly with your Program Coordinator for updates and guidance.What we offer:13 Paid Holidays per year, including, Cesar Chavez, Juneteenth, and Veterans Day (14th paid holiday if you are a veteran).Earn up to 22 days of PTOFlexible work schedulesThis role is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)A comprehensive elective benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k), Pet Insurance, Legal Shield, an Employee Assistance ProgramA trauma Informed Care and Diverse Equitable and Inclusivity focused organization.Opportunities to work on various committees (TIC, DEI, Workforce Development)In-house trainingsBuddy program for new hiresWe promote from within FIRST!Experience Required for Your Success:The ability to nurture respectful relationships with your clients and children, while being sensitive to the cultural needs of the population.A bachelor's degree in a Human Services specialty.
