In-home Services and Direct Support StaffFull Time And Part Time PositionsOverviewOur care professionals provide essential services to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. In-home Service staff support clients within their own homes, while Direct Support Staff work in group home settings, fostering independence and safety in both environments.In-home Services Staff (Individual Homes)ResponsibilitiesThe In-home Services Staff assist clients with daily living activities in their own homes, promoting comfort, independence, and safety. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Performing household tasks, including light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Transporting clients to appointments, running errands, or accompanying them on community outings.
  • Supporting clients in self-administering medication (with proper training).
  • Documenting care services provided for HAH services and reporting any changes in client health or needs.
  • Fostering a positive relationship with clients to promote their well-being and independence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Direct Support Staff (Group Homes)ResponsibilitiesDirect Support Staff work within group home environments, assisting clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living and creating a structured, supportive community setting. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting clients with personal care needs, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Performing group home maintenance tasks, including housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, ensuring a safe and sanitary living environment.
  • Helping organize and participate in group activities, fostering a positive community atmosphere.
  • Transporting clients to appointments, errands, or social activities.
  • Administering medication in accordance with state regulations and documenting care provided.
  • Assisting clients with adaptive devices and teaching skills that promote independent living.
  • Advocating for individuals, supporting their decision-making skills, and maintaining a positive, respectful environment.
  • Participating in staff meetings, and training sessions, and contributing to the group home's care plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications for Both Roles
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (in most cases).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, family members, and coworkers.
  • Physical ability to handle tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must pass relevant background checks as required by state regulations.
  • Medication administration training and certification, as required by state/program standards.
