In-House Counsel

L.F. Jennings is seeking an attorney to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia as In-House Counsel. This key team member will provide legal counsel and guidance for a variety of matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of construction law experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate prime contract agreements and subcontracts.
• Provide dispute resolution guidance.
• Facilitate relationships with and coordinate work with outside counsel.
• Oversee risk management resolutions.
• Review general legal documents and agreements.

Skills/Abilities

• Skilled in drafting and negotiating agreements and contracts.
• Demonstrable understanding of insurance and other loss control programs.
• Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates and third parties.
• Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• Juris Doctor Degree.
• Minimum of five years of construction law experience.
• Current licensure to practice law in the state of Virginia.
