Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, the In Room Dining Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage in-room dining experience possible. This position interacts one-on-one with guests, taking and delivering orders, preparing trays & carts, and making cocktails. The In Room Dining Attendant accurately inputs all orders into the point of sale system and communicates any special requests. The In Room Dining Attendant exhibits professionalism and competence while setting up the in-room dining presentation utilizing casino service standards to ensure guest satisfaction. The In Room Dining Attendant is also responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation while executing their duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Responsible for creating the ultimate, memorable guest experience by providing exceptional service to every patron; interacts and entertains in an enthusiastic and engaging manner. Greets guests in a timely manner with a smile, makes eye contact, escorts them to tables, and provides a menu (where applicable).2. Answers all guest calls in a timely manner and accurately placing their order. Accurately handles all payments including cash handling as outlined in the department training and procedures including ensuring that all orders are paid and received.3. Responsible for serving and preparing meals on trays & carts according to the Forbes 5 star and department standards. Prepares beverages and expedites food orders as necessary. Delivers food and any necessary condiments to guests.4. Maintains stock in all areas. Keeps stations fully stocked with condiments, plastic ware, coffee, etc. Restocks ice bins before opening and during operations as necessary.5. Responsible for preparing orders, arranging trays, delivering items to guest rooms, maintaining a clean working area, collecting payments, retrieving carts & trays and minimizing wastage and breakage.6. Ensure that all hallways are free from service debris and that all room service trays are brought back to the kitchen for breakdown and bussing.7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education/Experience/Qualifications- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a food server in high volume and/or fine dining environment is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a hotel environment is preferred.
- Must pass initial and subsequent tests as required by the Food & Beverage department.
- Must present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with departmental policy.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must possess excellent customer service and communications skills.
- Must be able to maintain service standards in high-pressure situations.
- Maintain the passion necessary to execute best in class service to every guest.
- Must be willing to assists team members and guests, as needed.
- Must be reliable, pleasant and possess a good attitude.
- Must have a warm, inviting and engaging personality and be comfortable in an entertainment setting.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- Must obtain and maintain a current San Bernardino County Food Handler's within 90 days of employment.
