If you are a friendly, motivated person, with a passion to serve others, the Omni Homestead Resort & Spa may be your perfect match.Job DescriptionTo maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Room Service.Responsibilities* Must have complete knowledge of service time, menu, and any specials.* Prepare, deliver, and service orders.* Always inquire if additional service is needed.* Responsible for each check.* Responsible for pick-up tables and trays.* Responsible for set-up, delivery and presentation of VIP amenity.* Must consult with supervisor on any food pick-up difficulty.* Complete all side work duties as assigned.* Attend all designated staff meetings and training session* Any other task as assigned by managementTools and Equipment:* Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine* Walk-in refrigerator, Room Service tables, and hot box.*Working Environment:* Interior of hotel, in the restaurant, kitchen and guestroom. Exposure to extreme temperatures.* Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.* Exposure to food items and beverages.Qualifications* Good communication skills both written and verbal* Enthusiastic and friendly with a positive attitude* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays* Must be at least 18 years of age.* Prior food and beverage experience preferred but not required.* Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 30 lbs* Must have valid ServSafe and Tips Certification or can obtain such valid certification prior to working* Can walk and stand for the duration of the 8-10 hour shiftAll Full-Time, Year-Round Employees of The Omni Homestead receive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, in addition to resort-specific discounts on dining, rooms, retail, and activities.
