For many Living Resources employees, their work becomes an experience where they find fulfillment and develop both personally and professionally.The Incident Management Specialist is responsible for all aspects of internal incident management /trending and the tracking of RIA documentation to ensure compliance with regulation. The Incident Management Specialist conducts investigations and assists with related incident management tasks and documentation. The Incident Management Specialist is a team player who works in collaboration with other QA staff on special projects and tasks.
- Review, track and follow up on all internal incident reports and RIAs; provide quarterly trend reports.
- Conduct Investigations pertaining to allegations of significant incidents, abuse and neglect as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.
- Complete quarterly reports for Mental Hygiene Legal Services.
- Assist with incident management tasks including: documentation in IRMA and investigation related reports, letters and paperwork.
- Maintain working knowledge of all OPWDD, NYS Justice Center, Federal and State Regulations.
- Participate in routine information sharing, problem solving and crisis intervention as needed; promoting good communication between all interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in rotation of the QA on-call beeper phone and associated duties.
- Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance.
Requirements
- Associates degree
- 3 years of experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Ideally related experience will be in a residential and/or day program or quality assurance setting.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint applications
